Blushing!

Over the past few months Bobbi Brown's blusher in Pale Pink has become my absolute favourite. I have to admit that I would have never gone for that shade but at my last beauty session the assistant was cheeky enough to apply it without showing it to me first and I've been in love with it ever since.

It is a really strong pink in the compact but once applied it turns into a matt and softy, well, pale sort of pink. The super light texture glides effortlessly onto the skin and most importantly stays in place all day. It brightens up your face and it looks healthier and fresher in an instant.

Pale Pink
With a blusher like this all you really need to wear is some light foundation, a little eyeliner, mascara and you're ready to go!

Of course it comes in many many other shades and choosing your perfect colour really depends on your complexion but for me the Pale Pink is the ultimate must have for this Spring!

To find out what your perfect shade is visit your local Bobbi Brown Studio and maybe even book in your very own personal make up lesson! x

Lacetastic

One of my favourite dresses for Spring 2011 is the gorgeous red Margot lace dress by Erdem.

The vibrant red combined with the fragile lace and the sublime cut makes this an absolute must have for this years spring wardrobe! If like me you are feeling a little bit bugged by the hefty price tag, there is a slightly cheaper version  from French Connection available. Hallelujah!

Beautiful Monday

My favourite foundation at the moment is Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15 by M.A.C.
I am absolutely in love with it! It gives very good matt coverage without looking cakey and it leaves a very soft, non-sticky feeling on your skin. It's absolutely buildable but for your every day look you really only need to use a tiny bit in morning and it will last you all day.
It also includes a light sun protector which comes very handy now that it's getting a little bit sunnier outside.
I apply it with a foundation brush and lightly tap it in with my fingers around the eyes - I find that this gives it a finer and more even look. I know you are not supposed to put foundation around your eyes but I prefer the more even look. To prevent the sensitive skin around the eyes from drying out I use a good eye cream before applying the foundation.
Given, for around £20.00 it of course is not the cheapest you can get but I think that you almost always get very good quality for the money you leave behind at your M.A.C. counter.
